Understanding the concert before they become concern.
When it comes to MBA programs you need to have some experience and some classes that will help you to get into the BYU-Provo. G Math scores. They have available a lot of programs that you are able to take.
Career is what you choose so MBA you have it but you need to go far than that. Standing out in the crud.
Qualifying you before the employers.

To be redy is to be wise

To be efficient in the organization is to take actively part of it. Participating and taking active part in the organization you can become part of the big picture of the entire plan of action of the organization. There could be a lot of problems that the organization could face but the main back up plan of action is the plan that will work in the end. So how, when and where you will be need it is not know but it becomes a requirement for you to be ready at all time.

On the right line(O:

How the organization is is going?
I think we are making progress in many areas and for some of us might feel that we didn’t do too much but I think we did a great job so far. Is a slow progress but is an improvement.
As a technology person coming up with the new ides is something that will help us to achieve our next goals.
The Guide book training in the 7Habits is a great program that I think will benefit the organization but also as individuals. We need to keep up.
Good job to the leaders of the groups.

New Idea

Creating a slide on the organization home page was a great idea because let you see how is that working also if you have a good idea allows you to participate. Also the new technology with the discussion board I think is so cool I am quite excided to use it and I think is going to be more efficient because people will not be afraid to have their opinions herd. So is a great idea and I am looking for the results of it.

Is just a game

Win as much you can
It was a very interesting game.
In the first few rounds we did great everybody put Y and was a great harmony. But as the game went on and we mix up with the Capital things went from wrong to worst and bead. We lost more than we gain and there was a lot of contention about X or Y, But in the end people follow their instinct and our group end up scoring really low. I think once the game started there was a outside competition and inside competition when the outside competition is stronger people tend to work together more but when the inside competition is stronger they tend to be individuals and everything becomes “me” instead of “as”
I think a lot of people win as individuals but as an organization we fall to achieve our goals and objective. The biggest problem that I saw was greed, pride. I understand that there need to be competition but the question is always there how much what the line is of pushing a goal an interest and what is the price. And in the end it was wart it.

SOS

I really like the logo I think is very professional. Also having the idea of unifying the class I think will help us to have better communications channel’s so I am looking for some activities that we can do to achieve that. Also I think having R. covey seminar in the Seven Habits will help us to keep on truck with our progress and meet all the deadlines as well the requirements.

A stedy, upword course

A Steady, Upward Course
Elder Henry B. Eyring
Brigham Young University–Idaho Devotional
September 18, 2001
I find that was a great talk by elder Eyring that made me realized how blessed we are to be able to attend to this great church school and not only get our education but also strengthen our testimonies.
When we live in a troubled world here at BYU-Idaho we prepared to face all these by having a study course and a great blessing which is each other. "And in that day shall be heard of wars and rumors of wars, and the whole earth shall be in commotion, and men's hearts shall fail them, and they shall say that Christ delayeth his coming until the end of the earth.”And the love of men shall wax cold, and iniquity shall abound."
I believe this place is a great place to be and the blessing that it is was expressed by the prophet and apostles that visit the campus. We as a student we have a lot of goals to achieve as well the faculty and the campus will grow and prosper.
Another effect of that goal will be to bring here only teachers who have the Savior and His goal in their hearts. That choice to put the Savior at the center led to the other key choices made in the transition and will assure that those choices will endure. For instance, President Hinckley said in the announcement: "BYU-Idaho will continue to be teaching oriented. Effective teaching and advising will be the primary responsibilities of its faculty, who are committed to academic excellence. "The institution will emphasize undergraduate education and will award baccalaureate degrees; graduate degree programs will not be offered. Faculty rank will not be a part of the academic structure of the new four-year institution."
Elder Eyring also said: In my mind the overarching theme for all of our scholarly work at Brigham Young University-Idaho should be inspired inquiry and innovation. Let me repeat that: inspired inquiry and innovation. We are not like other institutions of higher education; we have access to the gifts of the Spirit, which cannot be quantified nor counted. There are simply things we cannot adequately define and describe about the process of teaching with the Spirit. But, nonetheless, we should be excellent scholars, and our scholarship should be focused on the processes of learning and teaching. We will not be a recognized and highly regarded research institution in the traditional sense of that term. We will, however, emphasize a wide range of scholarly endeavors and excel in and play a pioneering role in understanding learning and teaching processes with faith and hard work, and in the process of time. His talk end it with a great promise and prophesies which stets: I hope I live long enough to someday meet some employer who employed one of you and says, "Where did that come from? I've never had such a person. Why people just flock around that person. And they want to follow. They don't have to be led; they're seeking to go where that person wants to go. And they come up with new ideas. I don't know where that comes from. They seem to find a better way, and the budget doesn't go up. I can't understand it." And I'll smile and say, "Well, come with me to Rexburg." And I may not be able to show it to you, and I may not be able to prove it to you, but you'll feel it. There will be a spirit here, I so testify, because of the love of God for all of His faithful children. And those blessings will be poured out here in rich abundance.
Is a great talk to remember how blessed we are to be here there are a lot of members in the world but not to many have the opportunity to come here and take advantage of the campus. So I think not matter how hard it is sometime been here is a great opportunity.

Team work

The importance of team work
We are looking to achieve the highest goals in our live we hope to be successful and efficient. So why is team work important? Well all the great success stories in business and in life come from a team work.
The true is that we need each other more than ever. We build this world together and if we are together in this world we need to learn to communicate to love to appreciate to respect to give our best. We are all talented in our own ways and we are all unique. So how do we for a team that will work together?
Going to the basic skills of communication we need to realize that we are not perfect and by working together we can all benefit and instead of having one first place you will end up having ten or twenty first place so is possible to be the best and have the best around you. How much and when and, where we are or be successful depend on out attitude but our efficiency depends more than ever on our ability to be part and work on team.
There is a lot of crime of success but I think that most damaging it is the luck of team work. So let work together, let’s build and grow together. Let succeed as an team an shape by this our character of highlight efficient humans being.

How may I help you?

I am quite impressed with the website I started to see a lot of improvements done in the website. I think is going to be a great experience for all of as. This class had been for me a really interesting experience so far I am excided to see what will happen and how we are going to run this organization from now on.
So I think my only concert that I have right now is if we as a different departments we will be able to function and support each department. I think a lot of us have different experience in some areas of this project and I am hoping that we will be able to function efficient by supporting each other.
So these are way I decided to give few things that I know to do.
I know how to make and design posters, newsletters, business cards, also I had some experience in advertising so if any of these are something that I could help in I will be more than happy.

According to the Success is Built on Inconvenience!

According to the Success is Built on Inconvenience! by Gary Ryan Blair these are some of the things that he sees in building success.
Impress this four-step philosophy on yourself, family, friends and associates: If you set a goal, achieve it, even if it's inconvenient. If you make a mistake, fix it, even if it's inconvenient. If you start something, finish it, even if it's inconvenient. If you make a promise, honor it, even if it's inconvenient If you make a commitment, fulfill it, even if it's inconvenient.
Well after I read the article I think success is more than coming to achieve what you are looking for but rather forming patterns that will lead to small, medium , large, extra large success as well long and short term success that in the end will shape your character. I feel that if we do things because the inconvenience the experience is different but if we sick the knowledge we learn more. I fee that the role of the teacher at BYU-Idaho has been changing with the new school president and there is a lot of adjusting to be made from the teacher but as well from the students. We need to get our from our comfort zone and sick that open potential that is available get our of our bobble and be rather proactive.

Learning Theory

Learning Theory
Context for change
Last time in class we had the chance to talk about how things are changing at BYU-Idaho and how we become the source of the change. Is helping some of the students and teachers and other employees to adapt to the new strategy that university has.
How this applied to our groups?
Needs of the other groups
Rules within our group
Service and surveys done with the groups
Goals for our group
These are some of the things that might help us to group and move in a direction.

Project Team Development

Adjusting

Performing

Naming

Storming

Forming

In the technology department if we go with these plans these are some things we need to accomplish.

We need to for our group in the way that we will be able to see what is going on in our group but also to be able to represent the other group’s interest and know what is going on their side.
We need to come up with a lot of ideas and have them written down. Set a part each time we need for a five minutes where we could storm in a lot of ideas.
We need tot take these ideas and analyzed them to see which of them work and the rest drop them. Also keep our minds open for new ideas and plans of action.
We need to perform. Look for technologies and solution to better ways to do staff.
Adjusting with the other group ideas and solutions so that will make us very flexible and responsive to the organization itself.
Also I think that we need to be able to come with solutions very fast but also we need to make sure that we have people responsible for the work. A good example will be have a work that is done verified but three people before it becomes available to the group so in these way the error will be very low.

Not you only you

How things will work on the technology department
Well first we are going to have one person represent each department that we have.
Second we are going to make sure that our communication is clear and there is not any confusion.

Desire Results

I know that there are a lot of confusion in class but we need to come up with a plan and after that make sure that we assign people to a specific job so in this way we are not loosing any more time. Right now I feel that we are not very efficient in communicating and all that creates confusion and nothing is done.
So we need a mission statement also we need to organized as a organization which we did now we are having five department so we need to organized with in the department and make sure that we have a leader in each of the department that will be in charge of how the department will function.
I find it very interesting that is an Organization communication class but we are having hard time to be efficient and productive. I think we need to work as a team and why not some unity games play.

Orginized the Whole

Claudiu Bora
The money could distract the course of an organization as well the priority of how things could go.
Do we see NASA an investment or a totally lost?
Do we see NASA money for pride to be in space?
Should NASA be a nonprofit organization? Will survived?
Who are the Stockholders in NASA?
Stockholders: employees, families of employees, government, private contractors, clients, media, suppliers, vendors, development, risk managers, costumers, stock holders.

Organized the Whole

The parts cannot all be optimized
Parts must be sub optimized
The things that can benefit as all
Well from a Technology point of view we need the rest of the organization involved so we can be successful.
Starting with the Capital we need enough found so we can expend our operation also to be able to stay in top of the technologies.
From the organization we need people to work together and make sure that all the channels of communication are working well. Also we want to be able to trust the organization at all levels.
From the people we need to most qualified people as well train and very flexible. We want to be able to have people that could adjust fast and love to work in a team. We want people with values so we can trust them. People that we can depend on.
From the market we want to be able to be independent financial. Also to be efficient and profitable organization because if the organization is profitable as a technology department we are successful.
All five parts of the operation need to work together because this will be the only way we are going to be successful. Is more like a team work you can have a star but if the team doesn’t work together you loose and in the end that is what matter in the business world. If you want to be effective you need to work effective, communicate,
effective, plan effective. To change, to operate, to have a strategy you come to an operation the is a Win/Win as a structure.

NASA and Technology

Claudiu Bora
We have five areas of debate:
People
Organization
Market
Technology
Capital
We where part of the technology where we had.
1) Change
2) Operation
3) Strategic
Well first NASA didn’t make to much updates in the program which could affected the Columbia mission. They where aware about the updates and having some equipment since the 60 and 70s doesn’t really help to accomplish a mission.
Second the operation of the program didn’t run as well as they thought it will in a very critical situation. Mistake where made but the problem wasn’t totally there because the entire operation stumble aver more than one problem at the time. Took to much time to see the problem to consider the problem to resolve the problem and to get feedback and analyzed the problem.
Third as a strategy I think NASA didn’t had one they expected that things will be ok and that lead to a lot of panic when things didn’t go well. Having a back up plan will help a lot because they will be able to have a team ready to be able to report, react and act faster by having totally access to all the Channels of communication in NASA.

As a technology team in the class we all agreed that technology was a big part of the failure of Columbia but also of some other missions.
In the survey that we did out of the 20 question we evaluate NASA and we came up with 1been as a very poor job eight times with 2 one time with 3 nine times with 4 two times and with 5 one time. I think NASA is doing something good too is not a totally a disaster but there are a lot of area of concerns when is coming to the technology.
So we came up with some question:
1) What is the strategy to change NASA?
2) How is NASA going to deal with the future missions?
3) How we get people to trust the NASA program?
4) How will you plan to make people in the NASA to be heard from each level in the organization?
5) What will be the other ways too justifies the funding?
6) How will you organize better communications channels?
7) How often should NASA do upgrades?
8) Who decided that the technology is too old?
9) How much level of responsibility should be given to the staff?
10) How you will make people to communicate?
As a group we conclude it that the program itself is not very efficient because some of the founds are not very well manage and they end up no be invested in the areas where they should like technology. Without the advance technology is hard to be successful and have safe missions. I think NASA is gambling each time when they live technology not been a priority in the program. So I think that NASA should look to the program and as themselves where is NASA going to be ten years from now fifty years from now one hundred years from now.

Columbia a decission of money and politics
The Empowerment in the Columbia deserter comes to the point that people don’t like to be wrong.I think also where money and politics involved there becomes a lot of pressure that could lead to a lot miscommunication. “Time becomes money”Also the look of confidence and seeing people more like objects things could go wrong. As a concern the people in charge I feel they where more preoccupied with the safety of the shuttle instead with the safety of the astronauts.

Columbia Final Mission
Columbia Final MissionCase Study01/12/07Claudiu BoraQuestions:What NASA learn from this tragedy?Where did the communication flail? Can the foam can be replaced with a different material? Why there is always need of some type of sacrifice before something is done?(Ex 9/11) Why in the Columbia disaster nobody took responsibility? In a life dead circumstance who has the right the way to the final decision? How many people should be involved in a case like that?In the Columbia disaster was a communication problem or a technical and political problem? How much political influence should be in the NASA missions?Things I that I learn from the class discussionThere where to many parties involved in the decision of what to be done and some where the main decision was lost n the middle which cause to come to a nobody want to take the responsibility of the incident.Political influence had play a role in this deserter as well they where aware about the problem before even was a problem but was nothing done to stop that. There where attempts but was more like “we need facts and not doubts”.Having to many centers and trying to connect them was a problem that NSA was also dealing with. I think even having that could work for example the US National Bank has more than one brunch but works very smooth so is possible because there is not a political influence at al is an independent and neutral branch of the U.S.AFor some reasons feel like America likes to take risk which I think is a part of the culture but in the same time is a danger ground in specially when you deal with a space program where you have decisions in a hundreds of seconds, minutes and hours. Some of the decisions that are to be made in NASA are irreversible. So there need to be responsibility and accountability.I think NASA becomes a successful program because they look to the mistakes and they trying to fix them but that is only from the technical point of view. NASA is still facing the communication problem as well working on the political clock will made the future mission as dangerous as Columbia.Organization that I been involved inI think the best example will be the LDS Church that has a perfect structure.Another one will be working as a supervisor in the MC where you have a school president, manager, employee’s supervisors that break down in more with more responsibility and with less and after that goes to student supervisor which is me and to the student. From experience I saw a lot of times the system falling some whereBut I think the way some systems are they could recover. Is more like having an emergency electric generator. If you have a failure you have something to back out the problem with so in this way you could fix the problem and not be affected by.

Idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
“As long as you live, don't ever forget that while you may succeed beyond your fondest hopes and your greatest expectations, you will never succeed beyond the purpose to which you are willing to surrender. Furthermore, your surrender will not be complete until you adopt the winners philosophy that all progress, change, and success is based on a foundation of inconvenience! “( by Gary Ryan Blair)

I am not agree with the author I think success is more than inconvenience I think you are motivated to succeed to become better person. Success is stimulus that drives you to become and be good at something. If success is an inconvenience why even tray to succeed I think people are looking for success as a way to go behind their normal average. Yes you have expectations but in the same time you are wiling to fight and tray again and again until you achieve your goals. I think people that are wiling to surrender are people that don’t have propose in life and I don’t think even this people exist because we are all children of Our Heavenly Father and we all have a propose in this life.

Columbia a dream that almost came true

To have the power to act but not have the will to do it
Where the communication effectiveness did became less effective?
If the people didn’t act what was the reason? Is there more that one reason? Was there intentional or unintentional?
We come to realized that Empower people don’t want to be wrong. But then how we make our point of view know? Do we act? Is there a good time or bead time?
Aliment
What is it?
Looking to the problem as the problem to the right channel.
Is there a W/W society?
Is the look of confidence a look of commitment or just a receipt of disaster?
Did the Columbia mission lost priority by been more focus on the fact and reasons which lead them to the blind spot that they where able to see how serious the situation was.
Almost like the mirrors to the car that let you the objects are closer than they really appear.
Do the astronauts in the Colombia mission lost their freedom? Well I think they did at a certain point in the mission because somebody else decided their destiny.

I got to participate in soccer, rugby, football teams also I got involved in service and dancing. Right now I am part of the Romanian Heritage Association that is a non profit association that main goal is to inform BYU-I students about the cultural and different aspects of the Romanian culture and people.

Best Lesson

The best lessons I had so far been on my mission. I had the chance to serve in Utah Provo Mission in five years a go. Was a very spiritual and humble experience for me because I was a very new member of the church one year before I was on the mission field. Also my mothers join in the church in my mission.
Another best lesson the I learn was last year in one of my Interpersonal Communication class I learn a lot how to deal and communicate with people more efficient.

Best Leadership

The best leadership opportunities I had at BYU-I. I had the chance for the last four years to be an I-Team Leader in the New Student Orientation which give me the opportunity to serve but in the same time to teach the new students about BYU-I campus.
Another opportunity I had in leadership is by been part of the BYU-I Activities program which help me to learn team work and dedicate myself to the team.
